The Arcana Lord is the ultimate human mage: huge mana, heavy magic, and a summoned servitor that fights at your side. Learn from scratch how to play, level up and farm.

by admin 7 min read

In short: The Arcana Lord is a long-range human mage who destroys enemies with spells and even summons a servitor to fight for him. It's the perfect class for anyone who loves casting from afar, keeping the pace with tons of mana, and watching damage explode on screen.

Picture standing at a safe distance while fireballs, wind blasts and ice spears fly from your hands. That's the feeling of playing an Arcana Lord: you're the magical brain of the group, always casting, always controlling the fight from range.

And there's an extra charm. The Arcana Lord doesn't fight alone — he summons a warrior servitor that jumps into the brawl with him. It gives you a commander vibe: you give the orders, the servitor hits, and your magic does the rest.

The Arcana Lord is the endpoint of a long journey: Human Mystic (Starter) → Human Wizard (1st Class) → Warlock (2nd Class) → Arcana Lord (3rd Class). Each step makes you stronger in magic and summoning until you become a true arcane master.

Strengths

  • Massive mana (the highest in the game): with about 1847 MP at level 85, you can cast nonstop for a long time. In practice, that means farming more and resting less.
  • Sky-high magic power: INT 41 is among the best, so every spell hits hard. More damage per cast = enemies die faster and farming pays off more.
  • A summoned servitor to fight for you: the warrior servitor tanks and strikes while you stay safe behind it. That's great for solo play, because you always have a "partner" holding the monsters.
  • Self-sustain: you have a heal for yourself, so you don't depend on another player to stay alive. In long auto-hunt sessions, this prevents silly deaths.
  • Good CON for a mage: CON 27 gives you a healthier health pool than the average mage, so you can survive a mistake or two without dropping instantly.
  • A complete utility kit: buffs for cast speed, attack and movement make you and your group more efficient. That makes you useful in a party, not just in solo farm.

Weaknesses

  • Very slow (low speed): with 124 run speed, you're among the slowest. Tip: use the movement buff (Wind Walk) and keep your distance so you don't get caught.
  • Low dexterity: with DEX 21, your hit chance and physical crit are weak. Tip: don't even try to fight up close — your damage comes from magic, so always play at range.
  • Almost no physical strength: STR 22 means melee attack isn't an option. Tip: if an enemy gets close, back off and resume casting instead of trading blows.
  • Fragile if caught: like every mage, you wear light armor and die fast if an enemy sticks to you. Tip: let the servitor hold the monster and use your heal when your health drops.

Class-defining skills

  • Fireball — your basic fireball, a direct magic strike (magic damage). Use it as your main attack early on to melt monsters from afar.
  • Wind Strike — another magic-damage spell, great to alternate with Fireball and keep constant pressure on your target.
  • Ice Bolt — magic damage that also slows the enemy (speed down). Use it against targets trying to flee or close in on you.
  • Self Heal — a magic heal on yourself. It's what keeps you alive playing solo; use it whenever your health drops.
  • Battle Heal — a stronger heal learned at level 10, ideal for recovering a lot of health fast in tight moments.
  • Blaze — a heavier magic-damage spell (level 20). It becomes your new main attack to finish enemies off faster.
  • Acumen — a buff that reduces casting time (you cast faster). Keep it on at all times: more casts per second = more damage.
  • Wind Walk — a buff that increases movement speed. Essential to offset the class's slowness and to flee from danger.
  • Warrior Servitor — summons your warrior servitor with several buffs. It's the face of the class: call the servitor at the start of the fight and let it tank the monsters for you.

Attributes: what to prioritize

The Arcana Lord lives on magic, so anything that boosts magic power, cast speed and mana is worth its weight in gold. You'll never want to bet on physical damage — your job is to cast from afar and let the servitor hit up close.

  • INT (magic power): it's your number-one attribute. More INT = more damage per spell, so always prioritize it.
  • MEN (mana): already sky-high on this class and it sustains your blue bar. The more mana, the longer you cast without stopping.
  • WIT (cast speed): helps you fire spells faster, which translates into more damage in the same time.
  • CON (health/survival): a bit of CON prevents silly deaths, since mages are fragile.

For the Arcana Lord, focus on a weapon with a magic-power bonus (M.Atk) — it's what multiplies the damage of your spells. Always use light or robe (mage) armor: it helps with mana regeneration and cast speed, unlike heavy armor.

What to upgrade first? The weapon, always. A weapon upgrade boosts your damage on every spell at once. Then come armor, rings and necklaces for more mana, magic defense and survival.

Beginner step-by-step

  1. Create the character: choose the Human race and start on the Mystic line. That's the first step on the road to Arcana Lord.
  2. Do the first quests in the starting area: they teach the basics and already hand out items, Adena and experience to give you a push.
  3. Turn on auto-hunt: enable automatic farming and your character hunts on its own against monsters at your level, gaining XP even while you just keep an eye on it. It's the most practical way to level up in Essence.
  4. Follow the professions in order: evolve from Mystic → Wizard (1st) → Warlock (2nd) → Arcana Lord (3rd). With each profession you gain stronger spells and, on the Warlock line, your summoned servitor.
  5. Prioritize the right skills: keep Acumen and Wind Walk on, use Blaze as your main attack, and always summon the Warrior Servitor before starting a fight.
  6. Use your heals to stay alive: Self Heal and Battle Heal are your safety nets. On auto-hunt, let the system heal and focus on not letting your health hit zero.
  7. Get Adena and L-Coin: sell drops, do daily missions and use constant farming to stack up currency. That pays for your weapon and armor upgrades.
  8. Keep your weapon and armor updated: whenever you can, swap for better gear at your level. Old gear stalls your progress.

Where to farm

  • Auto-hunt on monsters at your level: the simplest way to level up. Aim at targets close to your level to gain XP fast without dying.
  • Move to harder zones as you grow: when you get too strong for an area, switch to a more dangerous one. More challenge = more XP and better drops.
  • Join a party for raids and bosses: bosses give rewards you won't find in regular farming. With your magic damage and your servitor, you contribute well in a group.
  • Take advantage of the Season Pass and daily missions: they're guaranteed reward sources just for playing. Don't skip collecting them every day.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Trying to fight up close: your STR and DEX are low, so trading blows is certain death. Always cast from afar.
  • Forgetting to summon the servitor: without the Warrior Servitor you lose your personal tank and get exposed. Always summon before the fight.
  • Ignoring the cast buffs: playing without Acumen and Wind Walk leaves you slow and weak. Turn the buffs on and keep them active.
  • Letting your weapon fall behind: since your damage comes from magic, a weak weapon stalls everything. Prioritize the weapon upgrade above almost everything.

This class is for you if…

  • You like playing from a distance: you'd rather cast spells safely than dive into the middle of the brawl.
  • You enjoy having a combat "pet": you like the idea of commanding a servitor that fights alongside you.
  • You want to farm for a long time nonstop: the huge mana and self-heal make the Arcana Lord a king of solo auto-hunt.
