Assassin Class Guide (Dark Elf) — strengths, skills and step-by-step

The Dark Elf Assassin is the server's swift predator: brutal backstabs, sky-high agility, and life on a razor's edge. Here's how to play from scratch.

by admin 7 min read

In short: The Assassin is a Dark Elf melee fighter who lives on speed and precise strikes. It's the perfect class for anyone who loves being agile, aggressive, and always in the thick of the action.

Imagine gliding across the battlefield faster than almost any other character, appearing out of nowhere and landing a devastating hit before the enemy even notices. That's the feeling of playing an Assassin.

It isn't the toughest character on the server — far from it. The Assassin trades armor for speed and damage: you hit hard, you hit fast, and you have to keep thinking on the move. It's thrilling precisely because every fight is a dance on the edge.

Overview

Profile
Race Dark Elf
Archetype Melee combat
Playstyle Aggressive and fast
Difficulty Medium
Main weapon Blades (fists/daggers)
Position in the line 1st Class

The Assassin is the second step in your Dark Elf combat journey. The path is: Dark Fighter (Starter) → Assassin (1st Class). In other words, you begin as a shadow warrior and grow into this specialist in speed and precise strikes.

Strengths

  • Sky-high Strength (STR) — With STR at the top of the server (among the top 98% strongest), every melee hit from the Assassin really hurts. That means you clear monsters of your level fast, which speeds up leveling a lot.
  • Excellent movement speed — The Assassin runs very fast (among the fastest on the server). In practice, you catch enemies that flee, escape trouble, and reposition in seconds.
  • High Dexterity (DEX) — High DEX improves your critical-hit chance and your chance to land on target. Translation: more hits that actually connect and more of those hits that deal double damage.
  • Devastating backstab — The Assassin has access to BLOW-type strikes, which are heavy physical attacks that are especially strong when you hit the enemy by surprise or from behind.
  • Its own buff kit — The class learns several buffs (temporary self-boosts) for speed, attack, and defense, so you don't depend as much on other players to get strong.

Weaknesses

  • Low Health (HP) — Among the classes, the Assassin has little health (only 7% have less). You die quickly if you take too much damage at once. Tip: never pull several monsters without need, and always keep HP potions ready.
  • Very low Mana (MP) — Mana is the lowest possible on the server (0% — the floor). Your skills consume MP, so you run out of fuel to use them in sequence. Tip: enable auto-use of MP potions and save your special strikes for the right moments.
  • Fragile against mages — Low health and average magic defense mean spellcasters can melt you from afar. Tip: close the distance fast using your speed, and don't stand still within their range.

Class-defining skills

  • Mortal Blow — Your signature strike. It's a BLOW (heavy physical attack) that's even stronger when delivered behind the enemy. Use it to open a fight or to finish off an already-wounded target.
  • Power Strike — An extra physical hit (PDAM = physical damage) that hits harder than your normal attack. Great for keeping up the damage rhythm while Mortal Blow is recharging.
  • Power Shot — Another impactful physical strike to round out your damage rotation. Good for alternating so the enemy never gets a breath.
  • Haste — A buff that reduces the time between your attacks, meaning you hit more times per second. Keep it on at all times while farming.
  • Wind Walk — A movement-speed buff. Turn it on to run even faster between monster groups and save time.
  • Ultimate Evasion — A buff that greatly increases your chance to dodge hits for a short time. Use it when you're surrounded or about to take heavy damage — it's your get-out-of-jail card.
  • Berserker Spirit — A buff that trades a bit of defense for more attack and speed. Perfect when you want to bring a target down as fast as possible.
  • Recover HP — Healing over time (dot_heal = recovers health bit by bit). An extra safety net between potions to last longer while farming.
  • Recover MP — Recovers mana bit by bit (dot_recharge). Since your mana is small, this buff helps you sustain skill use for longer.

Attributes: what to prioritize

The Assassin is a physical-damage machine, so anything that increases the power of your strikes and your crit chance is a priority. Survival matters too, since your health is short.

  • STR (Strength) — Your main stat. It increases the physical damage of every hit. This is where most of your focus goes.
  • DEX (Dexterity) — Improves crit chance and accuracy. Since the Assassin lives on precise strikes, DEX is a great second priority.
  • CON (Constitution) — Increases your health and toughness. It's worth investing a little to offset the class's naturally low HP.
  • MEN (Mentality) — Helps with mana and magic defense. A touch here softens the pain of low MP, but it's not the priority.

Since the Assassin fights up close with blades, your main weapon is a fast dagger/blade — the more attacks per second, the better for you. Use light armor, which combines speed and protection without slowing you down.

What to upgrade first: focus on the weapon, because its damage is what speeds up your farming the most. Then take care of the armor to last longer in the field. Keep swapping weapon and armor as you level up — outdated gear is the number-one mistake that holds beginners back.

Beginner step-by-step

  1. Create the character — Choose the Dark Elf race and follow the combat path. You'll start as a Dark Fighter, the starter class before the Assassin.
  2. Do the first starting-area quests — The missions in the region where you're born give XP, basic gear, and Adena. They're the easiest way to learn the controls.
  3. Turn on auto-hunt — This is the feature that makes your character farm on its own against monsters of your level. Enable it, choose the skills it should use, and let it level up while you keep an eye on it.
  4. Follow the base → 1st → 2nd → 3rd professions — You start at the base class, become an Assassin at 1st class, and keep evolving. Each profession change unlocks new skills and more power. Don't skip these changes.
  5. Prioritize the right skills and buffs — Learn and keep Haste and Wind Walk on while farming, and save Mortal Blow and Ultimate Evasion for the decisive moments. Don't forget the passives, which stay active all the time.
  6. Gather Adena and L-Coin — Adena is the currency for buying and upgrading gear; L-Coin unlocks access to the server's shop items. Farm, sell what you don't use, and complete missions to stack up both.
  7. Keep weapon and armor always updated — Whenever possible, swap to the best gear your level allows. That keeps your damage high and your survival reasonable.

Where to farm

  • Auto-hunt on monsters of your level — This is the main method of progression. Let the character hunt creatures close to your level to gain XP steadily and safely.
  • Move up to harder zones as you grow — As you get stronger, move to areas with tougher monsters that give more XP and better rewards.
  • Party up for raids and bosses — Big enemies are worth more in a group. Join other players to take on bosses you couldn't bring down alone.
  • Use the Season Pass and daily missions — They're constant sources of rewards, gear, and coins. Complete them whenever you can to speed up your progress.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Pulling too many monsters at once — With low health, the Assassin is punished for overconfidence. Hunt in small groups and control the number of enemies.
  • Ignoring MP potions — Your mana is minimal; without auto-use of MP potions, you run out of skills mid-fight. Set this up right at the start.
  • Letting your gear fall behind — Leveling up with old weapon and armor caps your damage and leaves you fragile. Update whenever possible.
  • Forgetting to turn on buffs — Playing without Haste and Wind Walk wastes much of the class's strength. Keep buffs active at all times while farming.

This class is for you if…

  • You like to play aggressive and fast — The Assassin rewards those who close the distance and strike first, instead of waiting.
  • You enjoy high risk, high reward — Short health but huge damage: if you like playing on the razor's edge, this is your class.
  • You prefer melee damage to magic — If the idea of landing heavy hits up close excites you more than casting spells, the Assassin is the right pick.
