Death Blade (E) (Death Knight) class guide — strengths, skills and step-by-step

The Death Blade is the fast duelist of the Death Knights: quick strikes, high mobility and a kit that handles itself. Perfect for anyone who wants to farm a lot without depending on others.

by admin 7 min read

In short: The Death Blade (E) is a melee fighter of the Death Knights who trades heavy armor for speed and rapid strikes. It is the perfect pick for beginners who want an agile, self-sufficient character that is fun to level through auto-hunt.

Picture an undead warrior who dances around the enemy, striking too fast for any defense to keep up. That is the Death Blade: light, quick and always at the front of the fight.

Because it is a dexterity class above all, it hits often and attacks fast, giving combat a smooth, constant flow. You rarely stand still — you are always moving, striking and farming.

Position in the line 1st Class

The Death Blade is the second step of your journey as a Death Knight. The progression line is: Death Pilgrim (E) (Starter) → Death Blade (E) (1st Class). In other words, you begin as an apprentice and, once you become a Death Blade, you fully take on the role of the fast fighter.

Strengths

  • Sky-high dexterity (top 4% of classes) — With DEX 35, this is one of the most accurate and fast classes on the server. In practice that means lots of hits, lots of crits and almost no missed swings, which keeps your farm constant.
  • High movement speed (top 22%) — At 139 speed, you reach enemies first, escape danger and switch targets in the blink of an eye. This makes auto-hunt far more efficient.
  • Solid strength (top 26%) — STR 40 makes sure your fast strikes also hit hard. Speed without damage is useless, and here you get both.
  • Total self-sufficiency — The kit brings healing over time, mana recovery and self-buffs. You don't have to wait for a support to start farming.
  • Easy to learn — No complicated mechanics to manage. You turn on the buffs, switch on auto-hunt and watch the character work. Perfect for a first character.

Weaknesses

  • Very low mana (the worst on the server) — With only 975 MP at level 85, your mana pool is extremely short. Tip: use the mana-recovery skill and keep mana potions in your auto-supply so you never run dry.
  • Fragile health (only 11% of the ranking) — With 3333 HP at level 85, you take less punishment than heavy classes. Tip: prioritize CON on your attribute points and always keep health potions running.
  • Weak magic power — With INT 20, this class was not made for magic damage. Tip: skip magic builds and focus 100% on melee combat, where it shines.
  • Low magic defense — You feel enemy mage damage more. Tip: use the Magic Barrier skill before facing enemies that cast spells.

Class-defining skills

  • Haste — Shortens the time between your strikes, meaning you attack faster. Keep it on at all times before farming; it is the class's most important buff.
  • Wind Walk — Increases your movement speed. Great for moving between packs of monsters and closing distance quickly.
  • Berserker Spirit — A rage buff that boosts your damage (in exchange for a bit of defense). Use it when you want to farm faster and your HP is comfortable.
  • Wild Magic — Increases your critical chance. It pairs perfectly with your high dexterity, multiplying the damage of your fast strikes.
  • Punishment — A direct physical strike that deals extra damage. Use it as an opener or to speed up the death of tougher targets.
  • Recover HP — Healing over time (it gradually restores your health). Essential for a fragile class: turn it on between fights.
  • Recover MP — Restores mana over time. Since your MP pool is short, this skill is practically mandatory.
  • Magic Barrier — Increases your magic defense. Use it against enemies that cast spells to reduce the damage you take.
  • Slowdown — Makes the enemy slower. Useful for stopping dangerous monsters from fleeing or for controlling distance in a tough fight.

Attributes: what to prioritize

The Death Blade lives on dexterity and strength: DEX to hit and crit, STR to hit hard. Since the class is naturally fragile, it is worth reinforcing survival too.

  • DEX (dexterity) — Your most important stat. It raises crits and accuracy, the engine of your damage.
  • STR (strength) — Makes sure each fast strike actually hurts.
  • CON (constitution) — Increases health. Since you are fragile, a little CON helps a lot to stay alive.
  • MEN (mentality) — Gives some relief to your very low mana, helping you sustain your skills.

Use blades/fists as your main weapon — that is what lets the class deliver those fast strikes. For armor, prefer light armor, which fits the agile style and does not slow you down.

Early on, focus on upgrading the weapon first: more damage = faster farm = faster leveling. Then complete the light armor piece by piece and, later on, start investing in elemental attributes to reinforce damage and defense.

Beginner step-by-step

  1. Create the character — Pick the Death Knight race and the starter class Death Pilgrim (E). You become a Death Blade at the very first class change.
  2. Do the first quests in the starting area — They teach the basics, hand out starter gear, Adena and the first levels almost for free.
  3. Turn on auto-hunt — With it active, the character farms on its own in zones at its level: it attacks monsters, picks up items and levels up while you follow along. It is the main way to progress.
  4. Follow the professions in order — Starter → 1st Class (Death Blade) → 2nd Class → 3rd Class. Each change gives you new skills and makes you noticeably stronger.
  5. Prioritize the right buffs — Keep Haste and Wild Magic on at all times, activate the HP/MP recovery skills, and use Berserker Spirit when you want to speed up the farm.
  6. Gather Adena and L-Coin — Adena comes from farming and pays for day-to-day items; L-Coin is the special store currency. Stock up on both to fund upgrades.
  7. Keep weapon and armor up to date — Whenever you can, swap to better gear or upgrade it. Gear frozen in time stalls your progress.
  8. Set up potion auto-supply — Keep health and mana potions on auto-use. For a fragile class with short mana, this prevents silly deaths.

Where to farm

  • Auto-hunt on monsters at your level — The golden rule: farm where the monsters match your level, so you kill fast without dying.
  • Move up to harder zones as you grow — As you gain levels and gear, migrate to stronger areas that give more experience and better rewards.
  • Form a party for raids and bosses — In a group you can face enemies too big to fight alone and split valuable rewards.
  • Use the Season Pass and daily missions — They are steady sources of reward that greatly speed up your progress with no extra effort.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Forgetting to turn on buffs — Without Haste and Wild Magic active, your damage drops by half. Always check before farming.
  • Ignoring the low mana — Without potions and the mana-recovery skill, you run dry mid-fight. Manage your MP from early on.
  • Trying to tank like a heavy class — The Death Blade is fragile. Don't stand still taking hits; use speed and healing to your advantage.
  • Leaving gear outdated — Sticking with a weak weapon stalls all your progress. Upgrade whenever possible.

This class is for you if…

  • You like fast, fluid combat — Many strikes per second, constant action, no waiting on long cooldowns.
  • You want a self-sufficient character — Healing, mana and self-buffs make you independent of support.
  • You are starting out and want something easy — No complicated mechanics: turn on the buffs, turn on auto-hunt and the character works.
