Death Knight (H) class guide (Death Knight) — strengths, skills and step-by-step

The Death Knight is an undead warrior who blends brutal strikes with dark magic. See why it's one of the toughest, easiest-to-farm characters on the server.

by admin 7 min read

In short: The Death Knight (H) is an undead melee warrior with huge HP and speed who holds the front line while healing himself. He's perfect for anyone who wants a tough, simple character that takes a beating on auto-hunt.

Picture a knight who already died once and came back stronger. The Death Knight fights with his own hands charged with death energy, faces packs of monsters head-on, and doesn't go down easy.

In practice, playing a Death Knight feels like constant power: you wade into the fight, take hits, deal twice as much back, and still heal yourself. It's a class that forgives beginner mistakes.

Overview

Profile
Race Death Knight
Archetype Melee combat
Playstyle Aggressive tank
Difficulty Easy
Main weapon Fists / blades
Position in line 3rd Class

The Death Knight is the endpoint of an evolution journey. You start weak and grow terrifying along the path: Death Pilgrim (H) (Starter) → Death Blade (H) (1st Class) → Death Messenger (H) (2nd Class) → Death Knight (H) (3rd Class).

Strengths

  • Sky-high HP — with around 4017 HP at level 85 (among the highest on the server), you simply don't die easily. That means you can farm dangerous zones without constantly running back to town.
  • Tons of speed — your run speed (139) is among the fastest. In practice, you catch monsters that flee, switch targets quickly, and waste less time walking.
  • Good dexterity (DEX 34) — DEX improves your chance to hit and to land critical strikes. Your attacks miss less and hit harder more often.
  • Heals himself — the Death Knight has healing over time (dot_heal) and mana recovery. That greatly cuts your potion spending and keeps you farming nonstop.
  • Solid physical defense (pDef 80) — his physical defense holds the fort well against packs of melee enemies, ideal for holding the front in a party.
  • Full set of self-buffs — he carries his own spells for strength, attack speed and crits, so he doesn't depend on anyone to get strong.

Weaknesses

  • Very low magic power (INT 20) — among the weakest on the server in this area. Don't try to focus on offensive magic; focus on physical damage, where the class shines.
  • Low wits (WIT 10) — this makes casting time slower. Tip: treat his spells like buffs to turn on before the fight, not as spam in the middle of combat.
  • Has to get close — being melee with very short reach, ranged monsters can hurt you while you run up to them. Tip: use your high speed to close the gap fast.
  • Limited mana for heavy spells — with only average MEN, leaning on magic skills drains mana fast. Tip: prioritize physical hits and use Recover MP during pauses.

Class-defining skills

  • Punishment — a strong physical strike (PDAM) to open the fight and tear off a chunk of the enemy's health. It's your main damage button in the early levels.
  • Haste — a buff that speeds up your attacks (attack_time_down). Turn it on before farming to hit much faster and clear monsters in less time.
  • Wind Walk — a movement speed buff (speed_up). Use it to run between packs of monsters and catch targets that flee.
  • Recover HP — healing over time (dot_heal). It's what keeps you standing without spending potions; turn it on when your health starts to drop.
  • Recover MP — restores mana over time (dot_recharge). Use it during pauses so you never run out of mana for your buffs.
  • Berserker Spirit — a fury buff (berserker) that boosts your damage in exchange for a little defense. Turn it on when you want to drop everything faster.
  • Roar of Death — a buff that increases your maximum HP (max_hp_up), making you even harder to kill in long fights.
  • Wild Magic — increases your magic critical chance (magic_critical_up), helping your dark skills hit harder now and then.
  • Stigma of Evil — a physical strike marked by death energy (PDAM with stigma_of_death). It's a high-level ability to punish tougher targets.

Attributes: what to prioritize

The Death Knight is pure physical combat, so think about strength and survival before anything else. Offensive magic isn't his path.

  • CON (survivability/HP) — already the class's highest stat; reinforce it for even more health and to hold the front.
  • STR (physical damage) — directly boosts the power of your strikes. It's what makes you kill faster.
  • DEX (crit/accuracy) — improves hits and crits; great for making your damage more consistent.
  • Ignore INT/WIT — the class's magic power is low by design; investing there is a waste.

Since he fights up close with his hands, the Death Knight wants melee weapons focused on damage and speed. Use heavy armor, which matches the class's high physical defense and giant HP.

Early on, prioritize upgrading your weapon's level (more damage per hit) and then your armor (more survivability). Always keep a set suited to your level instead of saving a good item for later.

Beginner step-by-step

  1. Create the character — choose the Death Knight race. You start as Death Pilgrim (H), the starter form, and evolve from there.
  2. Do the first starting-area quests — they teach the basics, give free gear and an experience boost to leave level 1 quickly.
  3. Turn on auto-hunt — it's the feature where your character farms on its own, attacking monsters of your level while you watch. It's the most practical way to level up.
  4. Follow the professions in order — Starter → 1st Class (Death Blade) → 2nd Class (Death Messenger) → 3rd Class (Death Knight). Each change unlocks new skills and makes you much stronger.
  5. Prioritize the right stances and buffs — always with Haste and Wind Walk on to farm, and Recover HP/MP to stay up. Berserker Spirit when you want to push the pace.
  6. Gather Adena and L-Coin — Adena comes from farming and selling drops; L-Coin comes from missions and server activities. Use both to buy potions, upgrades and gear.
  7. Keep weapon and armor updated — at every level range, swap or refine your equipment. Old gear holds back your progress more than you'd think.
  8. Join a party when you can — playing in a group speeds up farming and opens access to stronger enemies and better rewards.

Where to farm

  • Auto-hunt on monsters of your level — always farm targets matching your level to earn good experience without dying for nothing.
  • Move to tougher zones as you evolve — as you gain HP and damage, shift to regions with stronger monsters and bigger rewards.
  • Form a party for raids and bosses — bosses and raids give rare rewards and are much safer (and more fun) in a group.
  • Use the Season Pass and daily missions — they're steady sources of experience, Adena and L-Coin that you shouldn't skip.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Trying to use the class as a mage — magic power is extremely low; insisting on spell damage only wastes the real potential, which is the physical punch.
  • Forgetting to turn on buffs — heading out to farm without Haste and Wind Walk makes you hit slow and waste time. Turn everything on before you start.
  • Running with outdated gear — saving your best weapon "for later" only makes farming slow. Always use the best you have for your level.
  • Ignoring the starting quests — skipping the starting-area missions makes you miss free gear and experience early on.

This class is for you if…

  • You want a tough character that forgives mistakes and doesn't die all the time.
  • You prefer to get into the thick of it and fight up close, not shoot from afar.
  • You like a simple, direct style without micromanaging dozens of spells.
