Necromancer Class Guide (Human) — strengths, skills and step-by-step
The Necromancer is the human mage that punishes enemies with dark magic and heals itself on top of that. See why it's one of the most self-sufficient classes for newcomers.
In short: The Necromancer is a ranged mage of the Human race who destroys enemies with pure magic and can also heal itself. It's a perfect class for anyone who wants high damage, enjoys playing with a staff, and prefers attacking from afar without chasing monsters around.
Imagine wielding death like a tool. The Necromancer is exactly that: a shadowy spellcaster who trades physical strength for an ocean of mana and devastating magic.
In practice, playing a Necromancer is comfortable and satisfying. You stand at a distance, cast spells that tear huge chunks of life off enemies, and when your HP bar runs low, you cast your own heal. It's a mage that barely depends on anyone.

The Necromancer is part of the human mage line. The evolution path is: Human Mystic (Starter) → Human Wizard (1st Class) → Necromancer (2nd Class). In other words, you begin as a magic apprentice and specialize until you become a master of magical damage.
Strengths
- Virtually infinite mana. With around 1847 MP at level 85, the Necromancer sits at the absolute top in this category. That means you can cast spell after spell without stopping to recover mana, which is pure gold for anyone leaving the character farming on its own.
- Extremely high magic damage. The INT stat (magic power) is very high, near the maximum cap. In practice, each spell hits very hard, so you clear groups of monsters quickly and spend less time per target.
- Safe ranged attacks. As a mage, you punish enemies from afar. Often the monster dies before it even reaches you, which reduces the damage you take and keeps your health more stable.
- Self-sufficiency with your own heal. The Necromancer learns healing spells, so it isn't dependent on another player to survive. For a beginner, that means fewer deaths and smoother farming.
- Useful buff kit. The class has spells that increase your casting speed and protect your effects. You improve yourself and become faster without needing a support nearby.
Weaknesses
- Low health. With around 3416 HP at level 85, the Necromancer is fragile — among the lowest in this category. Tip: keep your distance from monsters and prioritize armor and stats that give more health whenever you can.
- Slow on its feet. Run speed (124) is low. If an enemy catches up to you, escaping is hard. Tip: use the class's own speed-boost spell and avoid letting groups of monsters reach you all at once.
- Low dexterity. Low DEX (21) means less accuracy and a lower chance of a physical critical hit. Tip: don't try to fight in melee — your damage comes from magic, so trust your spells and let the staff do the work.
- Fragile without careful positioning. Being low on health and slow, a positioning mistake costs dearly. Tip: always pull one monster at a time at the start and only pick up the pace once you feel confident.
Class-defining skills
- Fireball — a basic magic-damage spell you learn right at the start. It's your first ranged attack tool to melt monsters down.
- Wind Strike — another early magic-damage spell. It works as a quick, reliable attack while you don't yet have heavier spells.
- Ice Bolt — magic damage that also lowers the target's speed. Great for holding a dangerous monster away from you while you keep punishing it.
- Blaze — a stronger magic-damage spell, learned around level 20. It becomes your main blow against tougher targets.
- Corpse Burst — magic damage you unlock later (level 46) that adds even more power to your offensive arsenal.
- Battle Heal — a heal learned at level 10 that restores a lot of health quickly. It's what saves your skin when HP drops mid-fight.
- Self Heal — a basic heal you have from early on to recover between fights without needing potions all the time.
- Acumen — a buff that reduces casting time, meaning you cast spells faster. More spells per second means more damage.
- Wind Walk — a speed-boost buff. It makes up a bit for the class's natural slowness and helps you reposition.
- Concentration — a buff that protects your effects against cancellation, making your buffs harder to remove.
Attributes: what to prioritize
The Necromancer is a pure mage, so everything revolves around magic and survival. You don't need to worry about physical strength: what makes your damage explode is magic power, and what keeps you alive is mana and health.
- INT (magic power) — the most important stat. The higher it is, the harder each spell hits.
- MEN (mana) — sustains your giant MP bar and keeps you casting spells nonstop.
- WIT (casting speed) — makes you cast faster, increasing your damage over time.
- CON (health) — worth prioritizing when you can, since the Necromancer is fragile and any extra health helps you survive.
Recommended gear
As a mage, your weapon is a staff (a spell focus), never a melee weapon. It boosts your magic attack, which is where all your damage comes from.
Use cloth armor (robe), which gives more magic defense and bonuses for casters. The first thing to upgrade is always the weapon, because magic attack is what scales your damage the most. After that, focus on improving the armor to gain survivability.
Beginner step-by-step
- Create the character. Choose the Human race and start as a Human Mystic, the starting point of every human mage.
- Do the first quests in the starting area. They teach the basics of the game and already give you gear and experience to get going easily from zero.
- Turn on auto-hunt. This feature makes the character farm on its own against monsters of your level. You activate it, leave it running, and it casts spells, kills, and heals automatically.
- Follow the professions in order. The path is base → 1st class → 2nd class → 3rd class. With each change you unlock stronger spells: from Human Mystic you become Human Wizard, then Necromancer.
- Prioritize the right skills. Keep your damage spells always updated and use the casting-speed and movement buffs before farming.
- Earn Adena and L-Coin. Adena is the in-game currency to buy gear and upgrades; L-Coin comes from activities and the shop. Gather both to fund your weapons and armor.
- Keep weapon and armor updated. As you level up, swap to better gear. A Necromancer with a weak staff loses almost all of its damage potential.
- Use your active heal. Don't rely on potions alone — casting Battle Heal and Self Heal makes you far more self-sufficient and saves resources.
Where to farm
- Auto-hunt against monsters of your level. It's the easiest way to level up: the character farms on its own while you keep an eye on it.
- Move up to harder zones as you evolve. As you gain levels and better gear, switch to stronger areas to earn more experience and better rewards.
- Join a party for raids and bosses. In a group, your ranged magic damage shines and you can even help with your own heal.
- Use the Season Pass and daily missions. They give extra rewards and speed up your progression a lot.
Common beginner mistakes
- Trying to fight in melee. The Necromancer wasn't made for that — its damage comes from magic. Getting close to enemies only makes you take damage for nothing.
- Ignoring the low health. Thinking you can pull several monsters at once leads to a quick death. Take it slow and respect your fragility.
- Forgetting to use the heal. Many beginners die by not casting Battle Heal in time. Your heal is one of your greatest strengths.
- Letting the weapon fall behind. Since all your power depends on magic attack, an old staff tanks your damage. Always invest in the weapon first.
This class is for you if…
- You like dealing high damage from a distance and watching monsters melt from afar.
- You prefer a self-sufficient class that heals itself and doesn't depend as much on other players.
- You enjoy the mage style with a staff, lots of mana, and powerful spells instead of melee combat.
