Orc Rider class guide (Orc Rider) — strengths, skills and step-by-step

The Orc Rider is the brute-tank of the Orc line: super fast, tough, and easy to pilot. See why it's one of the best classes to start with.

by admin 7 min read

In short: The Orc Rider is an extremely tough, fast melee warrior built to stand on the front line and soak up damage. It's perfect for beginners who want a simple, durable class that's hard to kill.

Picture a giant, muscular orc who runs faster than almost everyone and still takes a truckload of damage without going down. That's the flavor of playing an Orc Rider: little fuss, lots of resilience.

You dive into the middle of the enemies, hold your ground, and let the monsters hit you while your team deals the damage. It's a "hands-on" class, direct and satisfying for anyone who likes physical action without fussing over a thousand details.

Overview

Archetype Melee combat
Playstyle Tough brute

Position in the line 1st Class

The Orc Rider is part of a simple, direct evolution line: Orc Lancer (Starter) → Orc Rider (1st Class). In other words, you begin as an orc apprentice and soon transform into this heavy warrior, leaving the base behind.

Strengths

  • Absurd speed (among the highest on the server). With run speed at the top of the game, you catch fleeing enemies, reach farming spots fast, and never fall behind the group. Mobility is power, and here you have it in spades.
  • Sky-high toughness (extremely high CON). Your Constitution is one of the highest in the game, which means a lot of "staying power" to take hits. In practice, you die far less and can hold several monsters at once.
  • Strong physical power (above-average STR). Good Strength makes sure your physical attacks actually hurt, so you're not just a punching bag — you hit back too.
  • Solid physical defense. Your defense against physical attacks is high, which combines with your HP and CON to turn you into a walking wall on the front line.
  • Self-sufficient kit. You learn speed buffs, healing over time, and mana recovery — you can sustain yourself quite a bit alone, which is great for auto-farming.

Weaknesses

  • Very low mana (the lowest in your tier). Your mana pool is tiny, so your buffs and abilities run out fast. Tip: use your stances and heals sparingly and learn the mana-recovery skill early.
  • Almost zero magic power (very low INT). You deal no real magic damage — don't even try. Tip: ignore any offensive magic skill and focus 100% on physical.
  • Modest base HP for a tank. Despite the high CON, the raw HP number isn't among the biggest; it's CON and defense that carry the load. Tip: prioritize armor and defense upgrades to make up for it.
  • Very short range. Since you fight glued to the enemy, you always need to be within punching distance. Tip: use your fast movement to stick to targets and not waste time.

Class-defining skills

  • Blazing Fury — a buff that boosts your combat power; turn it on before entering a fight to hit harder.
  • Piercing — a piercing physical strike that deals direct damage; it's your "hurt" button between normal attacks.
  • Wild Rush — a charge/dash ability that quickly closes the gap to your target; perfect to catch runners or start a fight.
  • Chant of Haste — a buff that speeds up your attack time, meaning you hit more times per second. Essential for farming.
  • Chant of Wind Walk — a movement-speed buff; it makes you (already fast) even quicker to cross zones and chase.
  • Chant of Berserker Spirit — a "berserker" buff that raises your aggression in exchange for a bit of risk; great to speed up farming when you're comfortable.
  • Recover HP — a heal over time (heals little by little over several seconds); use it between fights to stay whole without relying on potions.
  • Recover MP — restores mana little by little; since your mana is low, this skill is one of the most important to keep you from running dry.
  • Bandage — removes bleeding and similar bad effects; a great emergency button when something puts you to bleed.

Attributes: what to prioritize

The Orc Rider is pure muscle, so always think about surviving and hitting in melee. Forget anything magical — your strength lies in the physical and in resilience.

  • CON (toughness/HP): your biggest defensive weapon; the more of it, the harder you are to drop.
  • STR (physical damage): makes your strikes hurt; the class's natural second focus.
  • DEX (crit/accuracy): helps you land hits and deal critical strikes, raising your damage over the long run.
  • INT/WIT/MEN: very low priority — you don't use offensive magic, so don't invest here.

Since you fight in melee, use fist weapons/hand blades and heavy armor, which matches your tank role and gives the highest physical defense. Heavy armor slows you down, but your Orc Rider already has plenty of speed, so the trade-off is more than worth it.

Early on, prioritize upgrading your armor (more defense and HP = fewer deaths) and then improve your weapon to speed up farming. Always keep both a level or two above the zone where you're farming.

Beginner step-by-step

  1. Create the character. Choose the Orc race and start as Orc Lancer (Starter); it's the base that becomes the Orc Rider.
  2. Do the first quests in the starting area. They give you XP, basic gear, and teach the controls at an easy pace.
  3. Turn on auto-hunt. Auto-hunt makes your character farm by itself on monsters of your level — you activate it and it hunts automatically, earning XP and items even while you sort out everything else.
  4. Follow the professions (base → 1st → 2nd → 3rd). When you hit the right levels, change profession; each change unlocks new skills and more power. The Orc Rider is your 1st class on this path.
  5. Prioritize the right skills and stances. Always keep the speed and attack-time chants running (Chant of Haste, Wind Walk) and use Recover HP/MP to sustain yourself.
  6. Gather Adena and L-Coin. Adena is the game's money (from monsters and sales) and L-Coin is the special currency; both are used to buy gear and upgrades.
  7. Keep weapon and armor updated. Whenever you can, level up your gear — old gear blocks your progress more than anything else.
  8. Move up to tougher zones. When your current farm gets too easy, switch to harder, higher-XP monsters.

Where to farm

  • Auto-hunt on monsters of your level. The safest, steadiest way to level: the character hunts by itself where the XP pays off well without killing you.
  • Move up zones as you grow. As you get stronger, switch to harder areas that give more XP and better items.
  • Form a party for raids and bosses. As a tank, you're a key piece in a group: you hold the enemy while the team focuses damage on more valuable bosses.
  • Use the Season Pass and daily missions. They give extra rewards every day and greatly speed up early progress.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Investing in magic. No offensive magic skills or leveling INT — your power is physical, always.
  • Forgetting about mana. Since your mana is very low, failing to learn and use Recover MP leaves you without buffs at the worst moment.
  • Using light armor for the speed. You're already plenty fast; use heavy armor to gain the defense that makes you a tank.
  • Letting gear go stale. Sticking with weapon and armor from past levels is the fastest way to stall and die for nothing.

This is for you if…

  • You enjoy being on the front line, soaking up hits and holding the enemies.
  • You want a simple, direct class without managing a thousand magical details.
  • You value mobility and resilience over dealing the highest possible damage.
