In short: The Varkas (3rd) is a High Elf fighter who jumps into the fray with bare fists, trading blows up close and soaking up a lot of damage. It is perfect for anyone who wants a straightforward, durable character that is easy to level solo with auto-hunt.

Picture a noble elf who set aside the bow and magic to settle everything with his fists. The Varkas (3rd) is exactly that: a nimble warrior who embraces hand-to-hand combat, dancing between enemies while raining down quick blows.

Playing a Varkas (3rd) has a pleasant, aggressive rhythm. You stick to your target, keep the attacks coming, and use buffs (effects that improve your character) to hit faster and heal mid-fight. It is a class that rewards anyone who loves being at the center of the action.

The Varkas (3rd) is the end point of a long, well-defined evolution line: Varkas (Starter) → Varkas (1st) (1st Class) → Varkas (2nd) (2nd Class) → Varkas (3rd) (3rd Class). Each step unlocks new skills and makes the character stronger and more complete.

Strengths

  • Plenty of brute force — with STR at the top of the chart (among the highest on the server), every punch truly hurts. That means you clear monsters fast and farm more in less time.
  • Very tough — the sky-high toughness (CON) gives you a huge pool of HP and makes you hard to kill. You can stay surrounded by several enemies without going down.
  • Self-sufficient at farming — the class has its own speed and attack buffs, so it does not depend on another player to perform well. Great for anyone playing solo with auto-hunt.
  • Healing mid-fight — it has skills that slowly restore health and mana, keeping you in the field longer without having to return to town.
  • Solid physical defense — the naturally high physical defense holds up well against melee monster hits, reinforcing survivability.
  • Easy to learn — the kit is straightforward: get close, hit, and use the buffs. It does not require complicated micromanagement, making it ideal for beginners.

Weaknesses

  • Nearly nonexistent magic — magic power (INT) is among the lowest. Do not try to use this class as a mage; focus 100% on physical damage and attack buffs.
  • Modest dexterity — low DEX means lower critical rate and accuracy than nimbler classes. Compensate by prioritizing gear that boosts accuracy and by targeting enemies at your level.
  • Only works up close — with no ranged attack, you need to reach your target. Against enemies that run or shoot, turn on the speed buffs and close the gap fast.
  • Limited MP at low levels — early on, mana drains quickly when you spam skills. Use mana recovery and potions so you do not run out of steam mid-farm.

Class-defining skills

  • Haste — a buff that greatly speeds up your attack rate. Always turn it on before you start farming, since more hits per second = more damage.
  • Berserker Spirit — a fury buff that increases your damage (in exchange for a bit of defense). Great for clearing monsters fast when you are not in danger.
  • Wind Walk — a buff that increases your movement speed. Essential for sticking to targets and moving between monster groups without wasting time.
  • Recover HP — heal over time: it slowly restores your health. Keep it active while farming to cut down on stops and potions.
  • Recover MP — mana over time: it slowly returns your mana. Pair it with Recover HP to sustain yourself longer in the field.
  • Direct Strike — a strong single-hit physical strike. It is your reliable tool for landing a burst of damage on tougher targets.
  • Uppercut — another heavy physical strike, great for adding damage to your rotation against monsters and smaller bosses.
  • Crushing Strike — a physical strike that pulls the enemy close to you. Useful for locking down targets that try to flee and keeping them within reach of your fists.
  • Devesting Disarm — a physical strike that disarms the enemy, reducing their threat. Use it against dangerous opponents to lower the damage you take.

Attributes: what to prioritize

This class lives by hitting hard up close and soaking up damage, so the focus is clear: physical damage and survivability. Magic and cast speed are of no interest here.

  • STR (Strength) — your number one priority, since it directly increases the physical damage of every punch.
  • CON (Constitution) — second priority: it gives more HP and makes you hard to take down while farming.
  • DEX (Dexterity) — useful in the background to improve crit and accuracy, helping you land more hits.
  • INT/WIT/MEN — you can ignore them; they are mage attributes and do not fit the class's style.

Since the attack is fist-based (FIST), look for fist/hand-blade type weapons, which suit the class's melee style. For armor, use light-type pieces, which balance defense and attack speed — ideal for a nimble brawler.

Early on, prioritize upgrading the weapon first, since it does the most to increase your damage and farming speed. Then upgrade the armor to survive in tougher zones. Whenever possible, keep both updated as you gain levels.

Beginner step by step

  1. Create the character — choose the High Elf race and the Varkas line. At the start you play the starter version of the class, with few skills, just learning the basics.
  2. Do the first quests in the starting area — they give basic gear, Adena and easy XP, and teach you the game's controls. Do not skip this part.
  3. Turn on auto-hunt — this feature makes the character farm on its own, automatically attacking monsters at your level. It is the most practical way to level up while you get organized.
  4. Follow the professions in order — advance from starter → 1st → 2nd → 3rd class as soon as you reach the required levels. Each profession unlocks new skills and a power jump, so do not delay these changes.
  5. Prioritize the right skills and buffs — always turn on Haste, Wind Walk and (when it is safe) Berserker Spirit before farming, and keep Recover HP and Recover MP active to stay in the field longer.
  6. Gather Adena and L-Coin — Adena comes from farming and selling drops; L-Coin is the server's special currency for shop items. Save both to buy upgrades.
  7. Keep weapon and armor updated — every time you have spare Adena or L-Coin, upgrade your gear. A character with old gear stalls while farming and dies for no reason.
  8. Reinforce physical attributes — when distributing points or choosing upgrades, always go for STR and CON to match the class's style.

Where to farm

  • Auto-hunt on monsters at your level — let the character hunt targets matched to your level for steady, risk-free XP.
  • Move up to tougher zones as you grow — as you get stronger, move to areas with better monsters that give more XP and drops.
  • Form a party for raids and bosses — big bosses give valuable rewards and are safer (and more fun) with a group of players.
  • Use the Season Pass and daily missions — they hand out extra rewards just for playing, greatly speeding up your progress.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Trying to play it like a mage — investing in INT or magic throws away the class's potential; the Varkas (3rd) is 100% physical.
  • Forgetting to turn on buffs — farming without Haste and the other buffs active wastes a lot of damage and speed. Make turning them on a habit.
  • Letting gear get outdated — sticking with a weak weapon and armor stalls your progress and gets you killed. Upgrade whenever you can.
  • Farming in a zone that is too high — jumping to monsters far above your level kills you fast. Move up areas gradually, at your own pace.

This is for you if…

  • You like being in the thick of the action — you love sticking to the enemy and trading blows up close, rather than shooting from afar.
  • You want something durable and simple — you prefer a tough character that forgives mistakes and does not demand complicated rotations.
  • You enjoy leveling solo — you like the convenience of auto-hunt and an independent character for farming.
