In short: The Warder is the melee fighter of the Kamael race, focused on fast blade strikes and high mobility. It's the ideal class for anyone who wants to chase enemies down and attack non-stop, without getting tangled up in complicated builds.

Picture a winged warrior, light and swift, who would rather dance around the target than stand still trading blows. That's the Warder. It trades raw toughness for speed and initiative, always aiming to be the first to arrive and the first to strike.

In practice, playing a Warder feels constantly aggressive. You run fast, attack fast and use an arsenal of "soul" buffs to grow even more lethal in every fight.

The Warder is the first step of the Kamael combat journey. The progression begins at Jin Kamael Soldier (Starter) → Warder (1st Class), and from here you keep evolving to unlock stronger classes as you level up.

Strengths

  • Sky-high Strength (STR 41, top 98%) — STR is the attribute that boosts your physical damage the most, and the Warder has one of the highest on the server. In practice, that means hits that hurt a lot from early on.
  • Elite Dexterity (DEX 35, top 96%) — DEX improves your chance to land a critical hit and to not miss your attack. More crits = frequent damage spikes, which speeds up monster killing a lot.
  • Excellent speed (140, top 87%) — you move faster than most classes. This helps you reach fleeing enemies, escape danger and farm faster because you spend less time walking.
  • Solid physical defense (pDef 80) — despite being an agile class, the Warder takes physical hits well, which helps survive in the middle of a monster crowd while farming.
  • Soul self-buff kit — the Warder carries several of its own buffs (speed, damage, magic defense) that remove the need to rely on another player. You stay self-sufficient, great for playing solo on auto-hunt.

Weaknesses

  • Low health (HP 3061 at level 85, bottom of the ranking) — you have fewer hit points than tankier classes. Tip: invest in CON through gear and keep HP potions on auto-use so you don't drop in long fights.
  • Limited mana (MP 1115 at level 85, bottom of the ranking) — your buffs and skills burn through mana quickly. Tip: use the Recover MP skill and always keep mana potions handy.
  • Modest toughness (CON 27, top 35%) — low CON reinforces the fragility: you weren't built to soak damage for long. Tip: avoid pulling huge groups of monsters at once and kill them in small waves.

Class-defining skills

  • Twin Shot — a strong physical strike that lands extra damage in one go. It's your opener or finisher to drop targets faster.
  • Soul Haste — a buff that shortens the time between your attacks, meaning you hit more times per second. Turn it on and keep it on whenever you farm.
  • Soul Wind Walk — a movement-speed buff. It helps you reach enemies and move around the map nimbly.
  • Soul Berserker Spirit — "berserker" mode: raises your attack power in exchange for a bit of defense. Use it when you want to melt a target fast.
  • Recover HP — a heal that restores health bit by bit over time. Perfect for regenerating between fights without spending a potion.
  • Recover MP — restores mana bit by bit, solving the class's low-MP weakness during farming.
  • Ultimate Escape — a buff that briefly spikes your speed to flee a dangerous situation. Your escape card when things get tight.
  • Soul Magic Barrier — raises your magic defense, protecting against monsters and enemies that use magic.
  • Absorb Light Souls — gathers "souls," the special Kamael resource that powers up several skills. Keeping them charged makes you stronger.

Attributes: what to prioritize

The Warder is a physical-damage machine, so everything revolves around hitting hard and hitting fast. Your main focus is STR and DEX, with extra care to make up for the low health and mana.

  • STR (Strength) — your number-one priority: it directly raises the physical damage of every hit.
  • DEX (Dexterity) — second priority: it improves crits and accuracy, multiplying your damage spikes.
  • CON (Constitution) — invest when you can to offset the low HP and survive better.
  • MEN (Mentality) — helps with mana, easing the limited-MP problem during farming.

Since the Warder fights up close, its weapon is the melee blades/claws — always prioritize raising the weapon's grade, because that's what boosts your damage the most. For armor, pick light armor, which matches the class's agile style: good defense without slowing you down.

The golden rule for beginners is simple: weapon first, armor second. More damage means monsters die faster, less time taking hits and more efficient farming.

Beginner step-by-step

  1. Create the character — choose the Kamael race and follow the combat soldier path until you become a Warder. No need to memorize anything technical now, just get started.
  2. Do the starting-area quests — the first missions in the starter zone give you XP, basic gear and teach you the controls. Don't skip this part.
  3. Turn on auto-hunt — auto-hunt makes your character farm on its own against monsters of your level. Enable it and let it run while you keep an eye on it; it's the most practical way to level up in Essence.
  4. Follow the professions in order — start as Jin Kamael Soldier (starter), become Warder (1st Class) and then evolve to 2nd and 3rd class over time. Each change unlocks stronger skills.
  5. Prioritize the right skills — always keep the soul buffs active, like Soul Haste (more attacks) and Soul Wind Walk (more speed), and use Recover HP/Recover MP to save potions.
  6. Earn Adena and L-Coin — normal farming drips Adena to buy supplies; L-Coin is the special currency for better items. Gather both while you level up.
  7. Keep weapon and armor updated — whenever you have the resources, raise your weapon's grade first and then the armor. Old gear stalls your progress.

Where to farm

  • Auto-hunt on monsters of your level — always start on enemies matching your level to earn XP safely and steadily.
  • Move up to harder zones as you grow — when the current monsters become easy, switch to stronger areas to keep earning good XP.
  • Form a party for raids and bosses — bosses give much better rewards, and in a group the Warder performs well thanks to its own buffs.
  • Use the Season Pass and daily missions — they're guaranteed reward sources every day; always take advantage of them.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Pulling too many monsters at once — with low HP, the Warder dies if it faces a horde. Kill in small groups.
  • Forgetting to turn on the soul buffs — without Soul Haste and friends, you lose a lot of damage and speed. Keep them always active.
  • Ignoring mana — without managing MP, your skills lock up mid-fight. Use Recover MP and carry potions.
  • Letting the weapon fall behind — holding a low-grade weapon caps all your damage. Upgrade whenever you can.

It's for you if…

  • You like playing in an aggressive and fast way, always in the enemy's face.
  • You prefer a class that's easy to drive, with no complicated builds to start.
  • You enjoy being self-sufficient, with your own buffs and without relying on other players to farm.
