Warlock class guide (Human) — strengths, skills and step by step

The Warlock is the Humans' ranged magic damage dealer: huge mana, heavy spells and the freedom to farm from afar. Find out if this class fits you.

by admin 6 min read

In short: The Warlock is a human ranged spell damage dealer, built to destroy enemies from a distance with magic. It's perfect for those who love dealing big damage without jumping into the middle of the fight.

Picture standing at a safe distance and watching enemies melt under fireballs, wind blasts and ice shards. That's the Warlock: a caster who trades melee for raw magical power.

It's a class that rewards planning. You manage your mana, pick the right spell for each moment and watch big damage numbers pop up on screen. The feeling is that of a classic RPG mage: fragile up close, but devastating from afar.

Overview

Profile
Race Human
Archetype Ranged caster
Playstyle Magic damage
Difficulty Medium
Main weapon Magic blades/fists
Position in the line 2nd Class

The Warlock sits in the middle of its evolution line: Human Mystic (Starter) → Human Wizard (1st Class) → Warlock (2nd Class). In other words, you've already passed the basics and are building the damage mage before the final form.

Strengths

  • Huge mana pool — with about 1847 MP at level 85 (the highest among classes in this measure), you cast many spells in a row without running out of fuel, which keeps farming smooth.
  • Very high magic power — with 41 INT (one of the highest in the game), each spell hits very hard. In practice, that means killing groups of monsters faster.
  • Safe ranged damage — you attack from afar, so you take fewer hits. That reduces potion spending and makes auto-hunt calmer.
  • Varied spell kit — fire, wind and ice give flexibility for different situations, and ice also slows the enemy down.
  • Good base survivability — with 27 CON, the Warlock has more stamina than most expect from a mage, surviving a few mistakes without dying instantly.
  • Self-sufficiency — you carry your own heals, so you can keep yourself alive farming solo without depending on a support.

Weaknesses

  • Very slow — with run speed 124 (among the lowest), you move slowly. Tip: use the Wind Walk movement buff to make up for it while traveling.
  • Low dexterity — with only 21 DEX, your physical critical chance and accuracy are low. Tip: don't try to fight in melee; your damage comes from magic, not physical hits.
  • Almost no physical strength — with 22 STR, physical attacks are useless. Tip: ignore physical weapons and focus 100% on spells and your magic weapon.
  • Fragile if surrounded — mages suffer when enemies get close and interrupt their casting. Tip: keep your distance and use ice to slow down anyone approaching.

Class-defining skills

  • Fireball — a fire magic damage spell. It's your reliable opening attack to start fights and take down common targets.
  • Wind Strike — wind magic damage. A second attack option to alternate and keep the pressure on the enemy.
  • Ice Bolt — ice magic damage that also slows the target. Use it against enemies trying to get close to you.
  • Blaze — a stronger fire spell learned later. It becomes your main heavy hit against tougher targets.
  • Battle Heal — a quick heal that restores health mid-fight. Essential to stay alive farming without a support.
  • Acumen — a buff that reduces casting time, meaning you cast spells faster. More casting speed means more damage per second.
  • Wind Walk — a buff that increases movement speed, making up for the class's natural slowness while traveling.
  • Concentration — a buff that reduces the chance of your spells being canceled when you take damage, making your casting more reliable.
  • Weakness — a debuff that weakens the enemy's physical attack, useful to reduce the danger of stronger targets.

Attributes: what to prioritize

The Warlock is a pure mage, so everything revolves around magic power and mana. Focus on the attributes that boost your spell damage and casting speed.

  • INT (magic power) — your number one priority; it's what makes your spells hit hard.
  • MEN (mana) — ensures you cast many spells without running out of MP during farming.
  • WIT (casting speed) — helps you cast spells faster, increasing damage over time.
  • CON (health) — a healthy HP pool helps you survive when something goes wrong.

As a mage, the Warlock wears robe armor (cloth), which gives the best magical bonuses. Forget heavy or light armor; they don't suit the class.

Your weapon should be a magic weapon focused on magic attack (M.Atk), since that's where your damage comes from. Upgrade the weapon first, then the robe, and whenever possible improve the attributes that boost INT and M.Atk.

Step by step for beginners

  1. Create the character — choose the Human race and follow the mage line until you become a Warlock. Customize the look and enter the world.
  2. Do the first quests in the starting area — they teach the basics, and give a bit of gear and Adena to get going.
  3. Turn on auto-hunt — this system makes your character farm on its own in zones of your level, killing monsters and gaining experience even without you controlling every hit.
  4. Follow the professions in order — you start as Human Mystic (Starter), evolve into Human Wizard (1st Class) and then into Warlock (2nd Class). Each change gives you stronger skills.
  5. Prioritize damage spells and the right buffs — keep Fireball, Ice Bolt and later Blaze on your bar, and activate Acumen, Concentration and Wind Walk before farming.
  6. Gather Adena and L-Coin — sell what drops and complete missions; these currencies pay for your potions, armor and upgrades.
  7. Keep weapon and armor updated — whenever your level rises a lot, swap to better gear so your damage and survivability keep up.
  8. Don't forget mana potions — since you burn a lot of MP, keeping mana potions always on hand keeps farming pause-free.

Where to farm

  • Auto-hunt on monsters of your level — let the character farm in areas suited to your level to gain experience steadily.
  • Move up to harder zones as you evolve — as you grow stronger, switch to regions with better monsters that give more experience and rewards.
  • Form a party for raids and bosses — in a group you face big enemies that drop valuable items and give lots of experience.
  • Use the Season Pass and daily missions — they offer extra rewards just for playing, greatly speeding up your progress.

Common beginner mistakes

  • Trying to fight in melee — the Warlock is fragile up close and has very low physical strength; always attack from range.
  • Forgetting to activate buffs — without Acumen, Concentration and Wind Walk, you lose a lot of damage and mobility.
  • Running out of mana mid-farm — without MP you can't cast anything, so always carry mana potions.
  • Letting the weapon fall behind — since all your damage comes from magic, a weak magic weapon completely stalls your progress.

This class is for you if…

  • You enjoy dealing big damage from afar, without getting into melee fights.
  • You love the classic mage fantasy, with fire, ice and wind spells.
  • You prefer planning mana and buff use over relying on fast reflexes.
