L-Coin is one of the most important currencies on the L2 Samuray (build 557) server. Unlike Adena, which you pile up by farming, L-Coin is a more valuable currency used to acquire gear, enchant scrolls and convenience items directly from the in-game L-Coin Store. This guide is written for someone who has never used the store: we go from the basics (what the currency is and how to earn it) to the details of every tab, with real prices and tips for spending wisely.

What L-Coin is

L-Coin is a special currency that drops from monsters as you hunt. It appears in your inventory as its own item and is the main currency for several sections of the server's store.

L-Coin is not bought with real money in-game: it is the fruit of your hunting time. That is exactly why it is worth saving it for purchases that genuinely make a difference.

The most common way to earn L-Coin is simply by killing monsters. Each account accumulates the currency over hours of play. There is an important detail in the server economy:

Characters with a Premium Account earn +2 L-Coin per monster killed, on top of the normal drop.

That means that over a farming session, a Premium account accumulates far more L-Coin than a regular one. If you hunt a lot (manually or with auto-farm), the currency builds up naturally and the store becomes your main source of useful items.

How to open the L-Coin Store

The store is part of the standard client interface. To open it:

Find the store / L-Coin icon on your interface bar (HUD), usually among the menu buttons at the bottom or side of the screen.
Click the icon to open the Store window (L-Coin Store).
At the top of the window you will see the tabs (categories). Click each tab to browse the different product types.

For every product the window shows the item icon, the quantity delivered and the cost (in the currency for that tab). Some items have a purchase limit (per day, per week or per month, per account) — this is shown on the product itself.

Step by step: making your first purchase

Open the store via the interface icon.
Choose the tab that matches what you want (see the table below).
Click the product you want to buy. The window shows the cost and the currency.
Check the required currency: some tabs cost L-Coin, others cost Adena, and others cost Ancient Adena. Make sure you have the right currency in your inventory.
Confirm the purchase. If you have enough currency and have not hit the item's limit, it goes straight into your inventory.
Check your inventory to use or equip the item.

Note: products with a limit (daily, weekly or monthly) can only be bought that many times per account within the period. If you see a limit warning, wait for the reset.

The store tabs and what each one sells

The L2 Samuray 557 L-Coin Store is organized into five tabs. Note that not all of them use L-Coin as the currency: the store also concentrates purchases in Adena and Ancient Adena.

Equipment tab (paid in L-Coin)

This is the tab for building up and improving your character. Some real highlights:

Starter Kit — 12,000 L-Coin, limit of 1 per account. Great for newcomers.
Special ring (Sylphen Ring) and special earring (Eva's Earring, MP recovery) — 16,000 L-Coin each, 1 per month per account (these are 30-day grants).
Talisman Bracelet Lv.1, Brooch Lv.1 and Agathion Bracelet Lv.1 — 300 L-Coin each. Cheap base items to open the talisman, brooch and agathion slots.
Enchant Kit: Talisman of Aden and Package: Cloak of Protection — 600 L-Coin each, up to 10 per day per account.

Misc tab (paid in L-Coin)

The consumables and scrolls tab. Enchant scrolls are the most sought-after items here:

Enchant A-grade Weapon — 4,500 L-Coin.
Enchant B-grade Weapon — 1,800 L-Coin.
Enchant C-grade Weapon — 900 L-Coin.
Enchant A-grade Armor — 1,200 L-Coin.
Enchant B-grade Armor — 450 L-Coin.
Enchant C-grade Armor — 300 L-Coin.

There are also very cheap convenience items, such as My Teleport Scroll at 25 L-Coin, the Boost Attack and Boost Defense scrolls at 50 L-Coin each, and experience buffs like Sayha's Storm Lv.3 and the XP Growth Scroll, also 50 L-Coin.

Adena Store tab (paid in Adena)

Even though it lives in the same store, this tab uses Adena, not L-Coin. It is the place to restock daily essentials: Soulshot (30 Adena), Blessed Spiritshot (80 Adena), HP Potion (45 Adena), Spirit Ore, gemstones of every grade, growth runes and blessing scrolls for level 80+. Spend your leftover Adena here and preserve your L-Coin.

Ancient Adena Store tab (paid in Ancient Adena)

Reserved for level 80+ characters and paid in Ancient Adena. It concentrates the elite items: sealed raid rings and earrings (Ring of Core, Orfen's Earring, Queen Ant's Ring, Zaken's Earring) at 10,000 Ancient Adena each, plus a list of legendary boss weapons (such as Zaken's Blood Sword, Orfen's Venom Sword, Baium's Thunder Breaker and several others). Scrolls to enchant rare accessories also live here.

Tips for spending L-Coin wisely

Prioritize what multiplies your power. Base bracelets and brooches cost only 300 L-Coin and open permanent slots — they are among the best early buys.
Save up for weapon scrolls. Enchanting a weapon is expensive (up to 4,500 for an A), so gather L-Coin before attempting it instead of spending the currency on small things.
Enable a Premium Account if you farm a lot. The +2 L-Coin per monster bonus pays for itself quickly for those who hunt for hours.
Use the Adena Store tab for daily consumption. Soulshots, potions and gemstones cost Adena — do not waste L-Coin on what can be bought with Adena.
Watch the limits. Items with daily/weekly/monthly limits are the most valuable per account; use the reset to buy them regularly.

Common mistakes

Mixing up the currencies. Not all of the store costs L-Coin. The Adena Store and Ancient Adena Store tabs require Adena and Ancient Adena. Check the cost before confirming.
Trying to buy past the limit. If an item will not let you buy, you have probably already reached the per-account limit for the period. Wait for the reset.
Ignoring the minimum level. Several products (especially in the Ancient Adena Store tab) require level 80+. Characters below the requirement cannot buy them.
Spending L-Coin on cheap consumables. Soulshots and potions are almost free in Adena right there in the store; keep your L-Coin for gear and enchanting.
